This yearbook features a minimalist cover design that allows creativity to shine throughout each page spread. By embracing simplicity, the staff achieved a sleek, modern aesthetic. Midway through the year, the team expressed interest in incorporating a three-quarter binding style. However, the request came late in the production timeline, and we didn’t have enough lead time to order the specialty fabric typically required for this binding.

To help meet their vision without missing the deadline, United Yearbook proposed an alternative solution: using a contrasting color to mimic the look of three-quarter binding. We applied a crisp white color in the designated area and enhanced it with a thick layer of UV coating through litho printing. The result successfully captured the intended effect while staying on schedule.

In another last-minute decision, the staff opted to include a senior sunset portrait—a panoramic shot of the entire graduating class. Despite the school’s large size, we were able to feature all the students who attended the senior sunset event within a gatefold spread. This special layout extends from both the left and right sides, revealing a wide, impactful image of the class. The panoramic shot was a standout addition and became a cherished highlight for the seniors.
