Success Story: Risk and Reward at La Sierra

College yearbooks can be a particular challenge; some students see them as a "high school thing" that they've left behind, so it can be hard to get students excited about creating (and buying) one.

So our congratulations to Elisa from La Sierra University upon completion of her very first design project for publication. "Designing the yearbook made me feel more connected with my campus!" said Elisa. We first met Elisa in 2016, and we were touched by her enthusiasm and positive personality, her insight and input on design, and her detailed understanding of printing specifications and financial costs. She made an impression on us from the very beginning, with her unique blend of gifts in design, creativity, and the nuts-and-bolts of business.

As a Graphic Design major, Elisa described how she wanted to use a modern and creative approach to the standard-style yearbook. To complete this look, she created a clean, striking, "high-end magazine" image, while utilizing the matching color scheme to make the content grab the reader's attention. This representation of her work was more than "just a yearbook," she said, and she looks forward to adding this beautiful piece to her portfolio.

Our thanks to Elisa for sharing her experience with us!
