This yearbook cover showcases a beautiful watercolor painting created by the staff. Minimalistic silver butterflies are embossed on the cover, adding a refined and elegant accent. The title, A Year in Color, appears on the front, with the word "Color" embossed in rainbow foil—each letter showcasing a unique shade of the rainbow.

This special feature was inspired by a December 2021 visit to Mesa Grande Academy. During the visit, the yearbook adviser and student manager met with one of our representatives. The student manager shared a roll of rainbow wrapping paper she had purchased from a craft store and asked if it was possible to incorporate a rainbow foil into the yearbook design. We were excited to say yes!

At United Yearbook, we go beyond traditional foil options like gold, silver, or blue. We offer a wide range of finishes, including rainbow foil, Pantone colors, and metallics, allowing schools to bring creative visions to life.

The Mesa Grande staff was thrilled to incorporate the rainbow elements. On the spine, the school name, year, and volume number are printed in silver foil, maintaining a cohesive and polished look. The back cover features additional silver butterflies and a silver caterpillar crawling across the design—a subtle, whimsical touch.

Yearbook adviser Lynn Delinger used the creation process as a hands-on learning experience. She reviewed the design treatments with her staff, while one of our representatives helped train students on yearbook production terms like matte lamination, spot UV, embossing, and rainbow foil.
