This Pacing Guide is intended to provide a possible framework for organizing the work of
executing a yearbook. As with most curricula, the pace at which a class proceeds is determined
in large part by the community of learners involved. So the concepts presented in this pacing
guide are fluid in nature—moving through multiple weeks, revisiting when necessary, and
keeping an eye on forward momentum. Teachers retain creative control in how material is
presented. This is support material to confirm potential project direction and student learning.
