We Love To Teach

We can help you educate your students in everything from yearbook design and workflow processes to teamwork and interpersonal communication. We have podcasts, handouts, online curriculum, and even in-person workshops that we can provide right in your classroom.

We also understand that each school and each team is different. So, our workshops can be customized to meet your specific needs.

We've done it before, it works, and it's all yours at no additional cost!

Build Your Book

Developing workflow. Delegating and tracking assignments. Taking and organizing pictures. Writing captions. Using software. Making last-minute changes. Whew! This is the crazy part!

We'll be right alongside you, every step of the way. We have workshops and curriculum (12-week instructional guides) for these (and more!):

  • Software like Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

  • Our software, including auto-flowing files from your school photographer

  • Basic photography & photo-journalism

  • Creative writing, including writing good photo captions

  • Developing a workflow for the yearbook process

Visit our online store to learn all the extra perks available to the advisers of our current accounts.

Build Your Team

You need to build a team of people who support and appreciate each other, work together toward goals and results, communicate well, and take responsibility.

We have resources and experience to help you pull that off. Here's just a few of the topics we've done:

  • Collaboration

  • Communication Skills

  • Leadership

  • Team Building

  • Time Management

  • Strengths and Personalities

If you have unique concerns or dynamics within your team, let's talk. We can help!

Plan Your Book

Even before you start taking pictures or dream of possible cover designs, you have some big, overarching decisions to make, including:

  • What is the theme of your book?

  • What is the tone of your book?

  • How will you organize your book?

  • How many pages is your book, and how will you decide how many pages a particular event or topic gets?

There's a lot more to think about, too, and we have the resources and experience to help you make wise, guilt-free decisions.

Design Your Book

This is the fun part! It’s also when good yearbooks get the opportunity to become great yearbooks. While United Yearbook has lots of options for customization, having options isn’t enough, is it?

It is important to ask, "How do I decide which options to choose? What actually looks good?" We teach you about how the different elements of design (i.e., color, font, layout, and style) can communicate ideas, and you will learn in a way that will help you not only in your current yearbook endeavors, but also in all future design work.

Sell Your Book

We get it: it's hard to get excited about creating a book if you think no one will buy it. In an age of Instagram and smartphones, do people really still buy physical picture books? We can't speak to everybody’s preferences, but the yearbook business is definitely booming, and our services are consistently sought.

At United Yearbook, we will not only give you tips and training on how to get your audience interested, but also partner with you in sponsoring parties and events that raise awareness and get your audience excited. We'll even set up an email and social media campaign for you, at no extra charge! Our books are a sell-out, so let us help you sell your yearbook!
